Mimicking food is a specialty of mine ever since I was young. I would shape the little red Babybel wax into pepper slices and feed them to my younger brother. It worked more times than my brother is willing to admit.
In the professional world, I would never feed an actor sliced peppers made of Babybel, but I would like to create something as convincing.
My large cream puff is sculpted from foam, slathered in tissue paper and flexbond, then assembled with silicone caulk to resemble the cream.
The cherries were made from little styrofoam balls, indented and textured with tinfoil. Then painted to complete the illusion.
